All Ords Hits 2400 Before Late Retreat

Improving commodity prices sparked a resources comeback yesterday. While the disappointing outlook on company earnings continued to hold back the industrials, stronger gold, copper and oil prices buoyed the mining heavyweights - CRA, BHP and WMC - driving the All Ordinaries Index 15.6 points high
